Access Statement Dog and Partridge Country Inn Introduction: We are situated on the A628 Woodhead bypass with easy access to Manchester or Sheffield. The following statement, will we hope give a summary of our facilities. Please feel free to ring for clarification. Pre-Arrival: - The Penistone railway station is 5 miles away from our location. Trains run hourly to Huddersfield, Barnsley and Sheffield stopping at all stations
- Connections to other destinations are available.
- Lists of local taxi companies are available on request.
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities - The inn can be accessed from both the front and rear. If you are staying as a resident you may prefer to park at the rear.
- The rear access has a gradual slopping pathway for wheelchair users.
- There are 56 parking spaces in total. Six of the parking spaces are for disabled users, three at the front and three at the rear of the building.
- We can assist guests with luggage from their vehicles to their rooms.
Main Entrance and Reception: - The access from both the front and rear door is on a level stone flagged floor, with carpeted floors around the seating areas.
- Booking in is made at the bar area.
- There is a gentle slope leading into the accommodation. There are eight rooms on the lower level.
Bedrooms: - All bedrooms are en-suite, with bath and shower, sink and toilet. There are also complimentary toiletries.
- All rooms are fully carpeted with under floor heating.
- Assorted teas, coffee, drinking chocolate and biscuits are available in all rooms.
- TV with remote control
- Hairdryers are available
- Irons and ironing boards available on request.
- There is a folder in all rooms detailing places of interest. There is also information on our facilities, meal timings etc.
Dining: - Meals are available from 12pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, 12pm to 10pm Saturday and 12pm To 5pm Sunday.
- Given forward notice special dietary requirements can be catered for.
- Breakfast is available 7.30am to 8.30am Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 9.30 Saturday and Sunday.
- It is advisable to book for Saturday evenings, as we are quite busy.
Additional Information: - There are extinguishers located throughout the building. There are ‘break the glass points also throughout the building.
- In the event of a fire, the alarm will sound. If you have a hearing impairment and may not hear the alarm, please notify us so that we can ensure that you are evacuated in the event of a fire.
- Mobile phone reception is good for vodaphone and O2 and not very good for Orange.
- There is easy access to the Penine trail from our Inn.
- We are open all year round. 365 days of the year.
